Anglotec Academy marks its 40th anniversary in 2026, celebrating four decades of welcoming over 10,000 students from more than 60 countries to its historic Victorian campus in Scarborough, Yorkshire. Founded in 1986 by Swedish educator Gustav Edner, the British Council accredited school has grown from a small language centre into one of the most respected English language institutions on the Yorkshire coast, offering General English, IELTS, Cambridge exam preparation, summer programmes, and its landmark £1.5 million Global Scholarship Initiative.
