Our Story
Anglotec Academy (formerly Anglolang Academy of English) is a British Council-accredited English language school located in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1986 by Swedish teacher Gustav Edner, the school has been providing quality English language courses for nearly four decades.
Our school is housed in a magnificent Georgian-Victorian building dating to the early 19th century — once the home of Eric Fenby, the amanuensis and biographer of the composer Frederick Delius. Carefully preserved to retain its architectural heritage, the building offers students a distinctive and inspiring learning environment on the North Yorkshire coast.
We offer a wide range of courses including General English, Summer Vacation courses, English Plus (IELTS, Cambridge, TOEIC, Golf, Professional English), Digital Literacy, and GCSE Tuition. All our courses can be customised to meet individual requirements.
Under the direction of Thomas Bui, Anglotec Academy is entering a new phase of innovation and international growth while building upon its four-decade legacy of excellence.
